Having found nothing by searching (except my old thread that I made wrong so it go pushed to the back) I decided to remake the thread with the proper setup. Anyway, my problem is that I can't run Parasite Eve II but no one else seems to be having this problem. I saw one post on a different forum from a guy saying the French version didn't work so he had to use the US version instead. I'm trying to use the US version, and even tried the (E) version to see if it worked with no success. What happens is it freezes at the main menu in a black screen, but I hit Start+Select to return to ES or, use any of the hotkeys really, like reset or savestates. I just can't move past that point. It will play the little attract cinematic after the Sony Entertainment logo then freeze.

I can run it on PC fine with ePSXe, and if I google it I can see it used to be a problem that was fixed. The French dude I mentioned got it 'working' just by playing the US version which is what is freezing for me.
